The Tamil Nadu governemnt has formed a committee to monitor the progress made by the liquid fuel-based short gestation power projects in the state.The committee, which consists of Tamil Nadu Electricity Board (TNEB) chairman, Tamil Nadu Industrial Development Corporation officials and the state energy secretary, will take stock of the projects' progress once a month. The panel will meet the promoters of each power project individually and set a target, to be achieved by the next review meeting.
