Wind power producers beware. The Tamil Nadu Electricity Board (TNEB) is going to increase the penalty to 30 paise per unit for operating wind mills without capacitors from October 1, 1999. The penalty now is only 10 paise. Tamil Nadu has over 700 mw wind power capacity from over 3,000 windmills.
