Japan reversed direction on Friday and said it would accept an offer from the International Atomic Energy Agency to help investigate the cause of the nation's worst nuclear accident. The head of the Science and Technology Agency, Hirofumi Nakasone, said Japan had decided to accept the offer from the Vienna-based United Nations agency in an attempt to assure transparency and international trust in Japan's nuclear program.
