Tremors felt in MP district

Ratlam, Nov 10: Mild tremors were felt in a few villages of Jaora and Piplauda blocks in this district in the wee hours today, officials said here. However, no loss of life or damage to property was reported. Tremors were felt at Jhalwa, Riyawan, Piplauda and Dudhakhedi villages and it lasted for seven-eight seconds. Most people did not feel tremors as they were asleep at the time. However, a few people experienced it clearly and came outside their houses. Collector Rajendra Sharma reached the affected villages. He said no loss of any kind was reported. No cracks had appeared on the walls or land. According to Regional Meteorological Department Director D P Dubey in Bhopal, an earthquake shook Rajasmand and Udaipur districts of Rajasthan in early hours today. He felt that effects of the quake may have been experienced in Ratlam but denied occurrence of tremors.
