The 2003-04 Annual Plan for Tripura has been fixed at Rs 650 crores during a meeting between the Deputy Chairman of the Planning Commission, K.C. Pant and the Tripura Chief Minister, Manik Sarkar. During the discussions, Mr Pant emphasised that the State would have to make special efforts to achieve the Tenth Plan growth target of 7.31 per annum and would also have to take tough measures over a sustained period to raise adequate resources to finance its development efforts.
