Two nuclear power plants will be commissioned in the next 12 months, adding 880 mw power to the national grid. This is the highest addition through nuclear sources in over a decade. The Kaiga plant in Karnataka and two new units of the Kakarapur plant in Rajasthan are to go critical from June.
