German green energy company Umweltkontor Renewable Energy yesterday posted 2000 net profit of 3.8 million euros ($3.39 million) from 0.25 million in 1999 as sales rose five-fold to 90.8 million euros. Umweltkontor, which manages wind power fields and is also active in biomass and solar energy, said earnings before interest and tax (EBIT) grew to 6.2 million euros ($5.58 million) from 1.4 million in 1999.
