The Unesco has asked the Tea Board to submit a detailed plan for all round development of Darjeeling with special emphasis on the tea gardens. The Unesco, is keen on development of the entire region, and has asked to chalk up a viable plan before pumping in funds for the infrastructural development of Darjeeling with tea gardens as the core area of emphasis.
