The government will introduce unleaded petrol throughout the country by March 31, 2000, to check the rising air pollution, the Petroleum minister, Mr Vazhaapadi K Ramamurthy has said. The government had taken all the steps in this direction, he said at a seminar on hydrocarbon and power sectors, organised by Chemtech Foundation in Delhi.
