The Annual Plan outlay of Uttar Pradesh for 2005-06 has been fixed at Rs 13,500 crore as against Rs 9,661 crore last year. This includes one-time additional Central assistance of Rs 200 crore for special problems and Rs 308 crore of additional market borrowings. At a meeting between the deputy chairman, Planning Commission, Montek Singh Ahluwalia, and UP chief minister Mulayam Singh Yadav here, it was agreed that the plan size could be realised by additional resource mobilisation indicated by the state and resources likely to be available through the implementation of the recommendations of the 12th Finance Commission.
