The Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Mr Mulayam Singh Yadav, has said the State Government would give priority to employment-oriented programmes, besides agriculture, in the rural areas of the state. Nothing that there were "immense employment opportunities in the agriculture sector' he said the development plans had not meaning unless the farmers were satisfied.
