Urbanisation directly affects noise levels

A conference was held on "Noise Pollution and its Effects on Health" at the India International Centre on Thursday chaird by Dr. S kacker, the former director of AIIMS, the conference sought to look at the causes of noise pollution and possible solutions. This was with special emphasis to Delhi, whose heavy traffic congestion had earned it the dubious distinction of being of the noisiest cities in the world.
