The US-based basic research drug company - CytoMed has entered into a strategic alliance with the Indian Institute of Chemical Technology (IICT), Hyderabad to work on new compounds targeted at allergic and inflammatory problems. Mr. Thomas R. Beck, President and Chief Executive Officer of CytoMed, said the IICT, a constituent of the CSIR, would undertake developing of a shorter safer and cost-effective process technology for the production of promising candidate drugs.
