A couple of years ago, a seminar on how to improve energy efficiency in US industry would have attracted scant attention. With low energy prices, the potential for significant savings just was not there. But the current energy crisis has put the issue at the top of many company agendas, and the US government and makers of energy-efficient technology now expect hundreds at a seminar they are staging in Sacramento.
