Edison Mission Energy, a US power utility, said it remains committed to its $820-million coal-fired power scheme which is facing environmentalprotests in Prachuap Khiri Khan, Thailand. Robert Driscoll, senior vice-president for the Asia Pacific region, yesterday reaffirmed the intention to build the 734 -megawatt facility.
