U.S. regulators, alarmed about bombing sales of cigars and their sudden popularity among teenagers, are about to end decades of leniency toward the industry. The Federal Trade Commission is moving toward requiring the largest cigar manufacturers in the U.S. to report how much they spend on advertising and promotions, including the use of product placements in movies.
