The US space shuttle Discovery docked with the aging space station Mir on Thursday. The ninth and last rendezvous since the three-year US presence on the Russian platform began. The Discovery and its six-member crew moored on schedule with the deteriorating and accident-prone Mir 380 km above earth at 1658 GMT.
