The US Department of Agriculture announced that signup for the Bioenergy Programme will begin on September 4,2001 and end on September 28,2001 for fiscal year 2002 programme payments. The programme stimulates industrial consumption of agricultural commodities by promoting their use in bioenergy production, a significant element of President Bush's energy development policy.
