The Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand has deferred a decision on the fate of villagers affected by its lignite-fire power plant and lignite mines in Lampang to the committee chaired by the provincial governor. According to Mae Moh Power Plant manager Premchai Musikapumma, the committee has formed a working group comprising environmental experts, local officials and villagers to verify the facts and consolidate information on the pollution impacts from different sources. It will try to reach a conclusion in September.
