Prime Minister Manmohan Singh is expected to announce creation of at least 8 inter-ministerial committees on crucial sectors such as agriculture, irrigation and water, and reworked priority agenda for action of the government in his Independence Day speech. The I-day speech would also see the government announce the new 20-point programme that the Centre has been working on for the past month and a half.
