An important component of the proposed project will be segregation at source. As part of this, two 15 litre garbage bins would be given to each house.
Larger bins would be placed in bus stands and tourist spots. At the dump yard in Theetukal on the outskirts of the town there would be a treatment plant and a waste re-cycling unit. Plastic pellets would be produced for laying roads.
