Water budget & targets for districts under Jalabhishek Abhiyan

With a view to making Jalabhishek Abhiyan more resuit-orented for the first time water budget would be made and targets for constructing new water structures and renovating old ones would be fixed in Madhya Pradesh. Under the sixth Jalabhishek Abhiyan ,Bhagirath farmers would take up 16 thousand water conservation works. Besides, 25 thousand new water structures would be built and old ones renovated.
The Minister for Rural Development and Social Justice Gopal Bhargava informed that for the first time water budget has been prepared to make the ground level work more effective under the Abhiyan. District wise targets have been fixed for the works to be taken up by Bhagirath farmers and for renovation of existing water conservation structures. The progress of the Abhiyan would be reviewed on the basis of these targets.
Targets for Bhagirath Farmers
The break up of district by targets fixed for Bhagirath farmers is- Alirajpur 100, Anuppur 100, Ashok Nagar 850, Balaghhat 100, Barwani 200, Bhind 100, Bhopal 100, Burhanpur 200, Chhatarpur 800, Chhindwara 250, Damoh 250, Datia 150, Dewas 1500, Dhar 500, Dindori 100, Guna 100, Gwalior 150, Harda 100, Hoshangabad 100, Indore 400, Jabalpur 100, Jhabua 100, Katni 170, Khandwa 400, Khargone 400, Mandla 100, Mandsaur 200, Morena 100, Narsinghpur 150, Neemuch 400, Panna 100, Raisen 150, Rajgarh 600, Ratlam 400, Rewa 150, Sagar 1130, Satna 100, Sehore 800, Seoni 150, Shahadol 100, Shajapur 500, Sheopur 150, Shivpuri 300, Sidhi 100, Singrauli 100, Tikamgarh 150, Ujjain 600, Umaria 250 and Vidisha 500.
Construction of New Water Structures and Renovation of Old Ones
