Dharamsala, now the winter capital of Himachal, is facing the worst ever water crisis due to continued failure of winter rain. The situation is so acute that many areas have to go without water for days on and the Irrigation and Public Health Department is only now waking up to the alarming situation. Dharamsala and its surrounding areas are dependant on surface water for their water supply.
