Former member of the Planning Commission L C Jain, who addressed the 23rd annual convocation of the Institute of Rural Management, Anand (IRMA) at the IRMA campus, Anand, Gujarat, critically questioned the development of rural sectors in the country. After awarding post-graduate degrees to 89 students, who completed their two-year training in rural management Jain talked about the challenges before rural managers, who would soon head for their assignments in backward areas.
