For the first time, the Krishna water dispute among the basin states of Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh and Maharashtra has figured in an international forum. The conference on "Legal aspects of sustainable water resources management" organised by the International Association of Water Law and others at Teslic in Bosnia and Herzegovina from May 5 to 19 included a paper on "Equitable sharing of trans-boundary Krishna waters - an Indian experience" by noted Supreme Court advocate Mohan Katarki.
