An integrated scientific framework must be evolved for planning management of the fragile ecological resources of the Himalayan region, with a focus on watershed management. This was stressed here by experts during a two-day seminar organised recently by the Himalayan Institute of Action Research and Development (HARD) on 'Integrated watershed management for Himalayan eco-development.'
