The World Bank prescribed immediate reform in the Bangladesh's energy sector fully privatising both power generation and distribution systems for fresh lending by the donors in this field. Officials said the World Bank tagged the condition to a phase-wise Adaptable Programme Lending (APL) worth 600 million US dollars for carrying out the reforms.
