West Bengal is exploring ways to expand business ties with South East Asian countries and has appointed consultants for the purpose. The state chief minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharya, who was in Delhi for finalising the state annual plan with Planning Commission deputy chairman Montek Singh Ahluwalia, said that efforts were also on to improve investment climate in the state and public private partnership was being encouraged.
