The Bangladesh Energy Ministry has finally backed out of approving the Western Region Intergrated Project (WRIP) and decided that Bangladesh Petroleum Exploration and Production Company Limited (BAPEX) will develop the Shahbazpur gas field while Rural Electrification Board (REB) will construct a 20-mw power plant at Bhola.
