Wind energy sector in doldrums

Absence of a strong regulatory network has left the promising wind energy sector in India, the fourth largest in the world, in a quandary says an expert from the Tata Energy Research Institute(TERI). "India does not have a strong regulatory mechanism and processes by which the consumer (the State Electricity Board) as well as the potential investor can feel reasonably assured that their interests will be uphgeld," Ajay Mathur, deal, energy environment technology of TERI.
