The World Bank has asked the Pakistan government to adopt zone basis gas tariffs to enable private investments in pipeline and introduce third-party access, it is learnt. Sources said that a recent World Bank mission in its recommendations has said that the cost of transport should constitute a separate component of the gas tariff, at least for large consumers.
