World Bank's Country Assistance Strategy (CAS) has proposed private participation in urban water supply and sanitation (UWSS) in India. This follows the World Bank identifying the sector as a key sector. This was discussed at 'Aquatech 2001" a seminar on opportunities and technologies in water and waste water management, organised by Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) in Mumbai.
