World Bank urged to do more to heal Hubco rift

Six US lawmakers have written to the head of the World Bank urging the institution to take a more active role in resolving a long running dispute between Pakistan and its largest private-sector power producer. The letter says that the dispute between the government run Water and Power Development Authority of Pakistan (Wapda) and shareholders in the $1.6bn Hubco power-generation project could jeopardise future investments in Pakistan.
