World Bank urges early restructuring of WAPDA

The World Bank has warned Pakistan that any further delay in government approval to Wapda's proposed financial restructuring plan could jeopardize the implementation of donors' priority investments, including that of the Ghazi Barotha project. The WB mission, which visited Pakistan last month, had discussed the energy agenda with the economic management team of the military government, Wapda chairman and other key government officials.
