QUOTA SYSTEM
The government fixes a quota or percentage of electricity that should come from renewable sources. Electricity suppliers then decide on how they will meet this quota, the kind of renewable technology they will use (except when it is specified), the renewable energy generator from whom they will buy electricity and at what conditions.
