Twelve air-polluting industries continued their operations despite being asked to take remedial measures
In violation of the Air Act, 91 stone crushing units were not brought under the consent of the Orissa Pollution Control Board (OPCB)
OPCB failed to curb indiscriminate disposal of municipal solid waste by the 102 identified urban local bodies
The exact pollution load discharged by units was not worked out by OPCB and the hazardous waste disposal site earmarked for the purpose could not be utilised because it was not developed
OPCB and state government failed to tackle chromium pollution in Sukinda valley
Only 11 out of 33 cases were finalised under the Air Act
Funds provided in the approved consolidated plan of action for preservation of Chilika Lake were diverted without approval.
