Global Positioning System (GPS) devices have dwindled to the size of a wristwatch. Japan's electronic giant Casio has developed a watch weighing just about 148 grammes that displays longitude and latitude anywhere on Earth. The watch is 60 per cent lighter than existing GPS hand-held devices and will even tell you how far you are from a pre-programmed destination and also its direction. This as-yet-unnamed watch has a small bump on its side which acts as the GPS antenna. A lithium battery allows 10 hours of continuous use or 600 individual GPS readings. The watch goes on sale in Japan for a hefty US $2,000.
