74 million dollar relief British generosity is at an all time high. The uk is providing us $74 million debt relief to Tanzania. The deal was signed on January 14, 2005, during the visit of uk finance minister Gordon Brown, who was touring African countries. The uk will now pay 10 per cent of Tanzania's debt service to multilateral institutions like the International Monetary Fund, the World Bank and the African Development Bank.
