Florida`s draft motor rules

Florida`s draft motor rules The us state Florida has come up with draft motor fuel rules that aims to boost ethanol blending in the country's third largest petrol market.

Limited ethanol blending is already occurring in Florida. But following the approval of the Energy Independence and Security Act, 2007, the draft rules will help the government of Florida create a much needed regulatory framework to open up its market to the burgeoning us ethanol industry. Earlier, ethanol companies in Florida had urged the government to relax state rules that discourage refiners from adding ethanol to petrol sold in the region.

At least four other states in the us are also considering new petrol rules that could open markets to biofuels.
