FOOD AID
The World Food Programme (WFP) will supply 137,000 metric tonnes (t) of wheat and 3,140 t of vegetable oil to Bangladesh to supplement the government's Vulnerable Groups Development Project. The seventh phase of the WFP assistance will allow the rural women to participate in an income generation sub-project where they will be trained to develop income generating skills, encouraged to save and given access to credit for micro-enterprise.
