Forced Exile

Forced Exile In the face of an acute drought, a cayman is forced to leave its habitat in General Diaz, 550 kilometres northeast of Asuncion, Paraguay. Thousands of caymans in the area are threatened due to an increasingly dry habitat. The region first began drying up more than 10 years ago after the Pilcomayo river was diverted for irrigation.
