Biogas plants hardly a help in clearing garbage
Only 13 Out Of 27 Units Operational: PMC Pune: Only 50% of the biogas plants set up in the city with an aim to decentralize garbage processing system are functioning. The Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) has 27 biogas plants with a joint capacity to process about 133 tonne garbage.At present,only 65tonne is processed in 13 plants which are functional.
