Judgement of the National Green Tribunal regarding pollution of Ulhas river, Mumbai Metropolitan Region, 02/07/2015

The National Green Tribunal (NGT) on 2 July 2015, ordered CPCB to ensure that Maharashtra Pollution Control Board (MPCB) takes stringent action against polluting industries along Ulhas river and also asked Dombivili CETP, Ambernath CETP , Ulhasnagar Municipal Corporation and Dombivali Corporation to deposit 70 crores with the Konkan District Commissioner for restoration and restitution measures.
