Read the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development The final version of the draft post-2015 development agenda, titled ‘Transforming our World: The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development,' was adopted by acclamation at the conclusion of an informal plenary of intergovernmental negotiations. The adoption came at the end of a two-week session and concluded a seven-month process to agree on the UN's development agenda to follow up on the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) and seek to achieve sustainable development. The 69th UN General Assembly will take action on the informally agreed document, and is expected to recommend it for adoption by Heads of State and Government at the UN Summit on the post-2015 development agenda, which will convene in New York, US, on 25-27 September 2015.
