Judgement of the National Green Tribunal (Western Zone Bench, Pune) in the matter of Charudatt Pandurang Koli & Others Vs M/s. Sea Lord Containers Ltd.dated 18/12/2015 regarding air pollution, allegedly caused by the industrial operations of Respondent M/s. Sea Lord Containers Ltd. and Aegis Logistics Ltd., in terms of Volatile Organic compounds (VOC) emissions and associated adverse health impacts on the surrounding population.The Applicants are residents of Ambapada and Mahul villages situated at outskirts of Mumbai.

MPCB shall prepare a comprehensive action plan for control of air pollution in Mahul, Ambapada and Chembur areas, with a focus on control of VOCs within 2 months, and submit it to CPCB for its concurrence/approval which shall be confirmed in next 2 months. Such action plan shall be implemented by CPCB and MPCB within next 12 months through the MPCB.
