Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Hotels and Guest Houses Association Mahipalpur Vs. Delhi Pollution Control Committee & Ors dated 28/04/2016 regarding hotels and guesthouses in Mahipalpur near the IGI Airport operating without permission from civic agencies and the Delhi Pollution Control Committee (DPCC).

The present Application filed by the Hotels and Guest Houses Association Mahipalpur questions the three pre-conditions stipulated for grant of consent to operate by the DPCC namely:

1. Licence from the Local Health Authority i.e. South Delhi Municipal Corporation in the present case.

2. Licence from Delhi police under Eating House Registration Regulations, 1980.

3. Copy of the Delhi Jal Board Registration.

The counsel appearing for the DPCC submitted before NGT that they have reviewed and made amends in the existing policy for obtaining consent whereby the first 2 pre-conditions stated herein above requiring licence from the Local Health Authority of the Municipal Corporation and police permission would not be insisted upon for obtaining the consent.
