Order of the National Green Tribunal (Eastern Zone Bench, KolkataIn Re: News Item published in Newspaper The Hindu, dated 26.06.2023 titled “One dead, 35 injured after ammonia leak in Bihar dairy.
A notice was sent from the office of the National Green Tribunal to the Raj Fresh Dairy, where the ammonia gas leakage was stated to have occurred at Hajipur in Vaishali district of Bihar, but it was returned back with the postal report that no one is traceable at the address.
The Tribunal therefore directed the District Magistrate, Vaishali to serve a copy of the notice of the original application on the alleged offender where the ammonia gas leakage has occurred and file a report of service of the same along with the affidavit. The matter was listed for August 31, 2023.
