Status report by way of affidavit on behalf of District Ganga Protection Committee, Nainital, Uttarakhand in compliance of order dated September 5, 2023.
District Ganga Committee, Nainital has been executing its functions like protection and rejuvenation of river Gaula and Kosi, direction and monitoring of different solid liquid waste management (SLWM) works by the concerned departments and planning of sewage treatment plants. Nodal officers have been nominated and they are responsible to take measures to prevent the pollution of river Ganga and its tributaries or their river bed abutting in such villages or other areas. The nodal officer would report the violation of the orders to the Chairperson of the District Ganga Committee for remedial action.
