Order of the National Green Tribunal regarding violation of eco-sensitive zone of tiger reserve in Narmadapuram district, Madhya Pradesh, 16/02/2024
Order of the National Green Tribunal (Central Zone Bench, Bhopal) in the matter of Brajesh Kumar Bharadwaj Vs State of Madhya Pradesh & Others dated 16/02/2024.
Issue raised in the application is violation of the Eco-Sensitive Zone of Satpura Tiger reserve, Narmadapuram district which is adversely affecting the survival of tigers and the ecosystem.
The NGT said that as the matter is technical in nature, it is desirable that an expert report be submitted and directed to the constitution of a five member expert committee. The committee has been directed to visit the place and submit the factual and action taken report within three weeks.
