Compliance report by Uttar Pradesh Pollution Control Board in O.A. no. 806/2019 in the matter of Anurag Sharma Vs State of Uttar Pradesh dated 06/01/2020.

The report was in pursuance of the National Green Tribunal order of September 20, 2019 which directed the UPPCB into the matter of environmental non-compliance by M/s Malik Beverage, Malik Tola, Sagdi, Azamgarh.

The unit had obtained NOC from UPPCB dated December 20, 2017. But the unit had not obtained a valid consent to operate from the UPPCB. The unit had also not installed the treatment facility of reject/effluent generated from Reverse Osmosis plant. The quanity of reject/effluent was approximately 04 KL. The unit had also not obtained the NOC from CGWA for abstraction of groundwater. It becomes quite clear that the unit was violating conditions mentioned in the NOC issued by the UPPCB.

“That on the basis of the inspection report of UPPCB, Regional Office, Azamgarh and the violation of NOC conditions a show cause notice had been issued u/s 33A of Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 against industry M/s Malik Beverage, Malik Tola, Sagdi, Azamgarh dated06.01.2020,” the UPPCB report said.
